Cheap Hot Mama Swap -- LOVE this fabric

My partner and I have the same favorite color. I have to admit, when I purchased this fabric earlier this month, I wasn't to sure about it. I had plans for it that it would have been perfect for so I bought it. And then didn't use it. When I read my swap partner's wishes, I thought I could accommodate them. I, personally, LOVE this apron pattern and I'm loving the pairing of these fabrics. I hope she does. I'm toying with making me the same one.

okay, so I lied......what I REALLY meant to say is this:

Do you want to create an apron using only items from your stash? After all, Christmas will be behind us soon and I'm sure many of us are feeling the sting of the economy.
I still want to 'play' but I have to play on the cheap side! If you want to join me, read on: Here is what we are swapping:

* 1 HANDMADE apron created using fabric you already have in your stash. (no cheating!) Here is the 'challenge' part...your partner will tell you WHAT they want the apron to be fashioned after. I have 4 winter/spring themes to choose from:

1. Old Man Winter (snowflakes, snow, birds in winter, sleds, things that represent winter.)
2. Valentine's Day
3. St. Paddy's Day
4. Easter
5. Something WILD n CRAZY!
   

* 1-2 recipes you use on a frequent basis. These recipes should be mainstays in your household. Never fail things that are always a hit. Simple but good.

* 1 theme inspired item you already have. This can be a cooking utensil you got but never used, a gently used cookbook, a matching potholder you created for the swap...be CREATIVE....and thoughtful. Don't pass on a crappy cookbook you know no one WANTS! (I had to say that, I love alliteration!)

You should plan on spending NOTHING..as in zip, zero, zilch, nada, on this swap package. How cool is that?! The only thing you will pay for is shipping! Unless you cheat...NO CHEATING!

This is USA only. I like small swaps so hurry and sign up as space is limited.
Sign ups are for 1 week only (12/20/09)so if you know someone who will want to join, tell them!

I will assign partners the week of December 20th.

Shipping :

New swappers must ship out by January 16th. (you will get extra directions from me after signing up.)

Returning swappers must ship out by January 30th.

Important things to remember when swapping here:

• Please don't join if you do not plan to follow through.
• You MUST agree to use delivery confirmation and to send me the tracking number so I can track your package.
• Remember to THANK YOUR PARTNER (and bcc me) for the lovely package they sent you!
• If you've made the "naughty list" you will not be permitted to play here. I try to create fun and inexpensive themes that stretch your creativity, not your budget.
• Remember to include your email address when shipping your package so your recipient has a way to contact you.

Swappers who mail out 2 weeks past deadline without good reason will not be invited to play along next time.

7. If you've not been in my swaps, please let me know where you've swapped before and include the hostess's email or blog addy. If you swap thru swap-bot, include your swap-bot name.

I am SO SORRY to have not posted these pictures yet. I couldnt belive my eyes when I opened my box!

The hot chocolate nor the chocolates made it to the picture. They actually didnt even make it to the next day!

The apron is beyond fabulous.The quality of how its put together is incredible.Very very very nice. THANK YOU MICKI! I have already wore it for two different dinner parties to show it off. It is exactly me Ü.
